At JALC Instruments, we value your trust and are committed to delivering only high-quality measuring instruments and excellent customer service. To ensure transparency, please read our Return & Refund Policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. General Policy​

• Returns and refunds are subject to inspection and approval.
  
• Only items purchased directly from JALC Instruments with a valid Sales Invoice or Official Receipt are eligible.
  
• Customized, indent-ordered, or special-order items are non-returnable and non-refundable.

2. Conditions for Return​

You may request a return or exchange within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery if:

• The item delivered is defective, damaged, or not functioning as intended.
  
• The item received is incorrect (wrong model, wrong specification, or wrong quantity).
  
• The item has factory defects covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
  

To qualify:

• The item must be unused, in its original packaging, with all manuals, datasheets, and accessories included.
  
• Proof of purchase (Invoice/Official Receipt) must be presented.
  
• A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be secured from our office before shipping the product back.

3. Non-Returnable Items​

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

• Indent or special-order items requested specifically by the customer.
  
• Items damaged due to misuse, mishandling, improper installation, or unauthorized repair.
  
• Items without original packaging, labels, or complete accessories.
  
• Clearance or discounted sale items marked as final sale.

4. Refunds​

• Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days after inspection.
  
• Refunds will be issued through the original payment method or as store credit, depending on your preference.
  
• Shipping fees, bank charges, and handling costs are non-refundable.

5. Exchanges

If the return is approved, you may request an exchange for the same item (replacement unit) or an alternative item of equal or higher value (with price difference shouldered by the customer).

6. Warranty Claims​

• Most instruments are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty (coverage varies by brand/model).
• Warranty covers factory defects only and does not include damages caused by misuse, accidents, improper installation, or normal wear and tear.
• Warranty claims must follow the process with complete documentation.
• Secure a Technical Report indicating the items problems.

​6.1 Technical Report Requirement

​To process a warranty claim, the customer must provide a Technical Report containing the following:

1. Customer Details – Company Name, Contact Person, Address, and Contact Information.
2. Product Information – Model Number, Serial Number, Invoice Number, and Purchase Date.
3. Problem Description – Detailed explanation of the issue encountered.
4. Test Procedures & Findings – Actual test results, calibration data (if applicable), and troubleshooting steps performed.
5. Photos or Videos showing the defect or malfunction (when possible).
6. Recommendation – Customer’s request for replacement, repair, or further inspection.

The Technical Report must be submitted to the JALC office together with the defective unit (if required for inspection). Claims without a Technical Report will not be processed.

7. Return Process​

• Provide your Order Number, Invoice, Product Details, and Reason for Return.
• Secure a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before sending the item back.
• Ship the item to our designated return address. (Shipping costs will be shouldered by the customer unless the error is on our part.)
• Once inspected and approved, your refund, replacement, or store credit will be processed.
